Terms & Conditions for Homebuyers

Copies of your completed report will be provided to you via your own online surveying account (details of which will have been emailed to you and will be defined in your documentation). We recommend that you study the report and forward a copy to your solicitors in order that they can deal with specific points which require their attention before you are legally committed to purchase.

The report will be available to download within 5 working days of inspecting the property. Should the report be delayed we will refund the full fee. In addition if for any reason the purchase of your property does not complete Romans Surveyors & Valuers will undertake an additional survey at no extra charge. Both offers are relevant to the following terms:

  • Payment for the survey has been received (we would advise payment by debit card as we cannot take responsibility for cheques sent via the postal system that may not reach ourselves)
  • A signed copy of the terms and conditions letter has also been received
  • A valid email address is available for the customer
  • The inspection of a second property will be undertaken subject to written evidence of the abortive transaction
  • The "free" survey is applicable to the named client only and within 3 months of the original instruction.

Acting upon your verbal instructions, we will arrange for an appointment to be made to inspect the property. We can only accept cancelled instructions in writing or via email and we should advise you that if the property has already been inspected and the report prepared, we will seek payment of our fees.

Romans Surveyors & Valuers and all the surveyors employed by Romans Surveyors & Valuers are members of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. In accordance with the Institution’s code of conduct, Romans operate a complaints handling procedure. In the event that you have a complaint or concern regarding the service which has been provided to you by our Company, then a copy of our complaints handling procedure will be provided to you upon request.

  • Enter your unique password
  • Click 'Login' to continue.
