For house buyers, there are two main types of survey:.

Homebuyer's Report & Valuation

• Ideal for more conventional residential property built within the past 100 years.
• Includes a detailed visual inspection of all aspects of the property that are available for inspection.

Building Survey

• Suited to older properties, or properties which have undergone major extension or alteration.
• Includes an in-depth inspection of the property, with all visible areas covered.
• Will describe in detail how the property was built, what condition the property is in now and recommend any further investigation.
• Report will also include photographs of any significant points highlighted in the survey.

What happens once a survey has been ordered?

Our surveyors will contact you before they visit the property to discuss any concerns you may have. Once they’ve completed their inspection, they’ll advise you on any further action which needs to be taken before the purchase goes ahead.
